Job Description
As a Development Manager or Associate, you will assist the Development Team in performing the day to day duties of project development and processing for multi-family apartment projects. You will manage/support coordination between the development team and governmental agencies having jurisdiction. You will further manage/assist as an organizer and manager of due diligence efforts for land acquisition, financing, and contracts. Your duties will consist of, but not be limited to, researching and preparing initial project information for feasibility, preparing and responding to due diligence requests for information, basic financial modeling, sending out invitations to bid and tracking the consultant bidding process, scope and contract preparation, tracking various permits throughout the entitlement process, preparing and reviewing project schedules, serve as owner representative during construction and responding to project related questions and attending meetings and other duties necessary for the successful completion of multi-family apartment projects.
You will work closely with all members of the development team, and report to the Vice President of Development and Construction. You will be expected to stay motivated, work diligently, meet deadlines and add value to the development team in a professional manner at all times. All projects will require regular coordination with other divisions and working groups within the company.
Occasionally, airplane travel may be required based on project location.
Position is full time, exempt and benefits eligible.
Required Qualifications
Manager – Four year college degree in business, real estate, or urban planning. Master degree preferred. 5-10 years of relevant experience with focus on affordable housing financing experience.
Associate – Four year college degree in business, real estate, or urban planning. 3+ years of relevant experience with focus on affordable housing financing experience.
