Mountain View’s New Workforce Housing at Studio 819, a Mixed-use Studio Apartment Community MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, the City of Mountain View celebrated the grand opening of Studio 819, a new affordable community by ROEM Corporation and Eden Housing in partnership with the City of Mountain View. The grand opening celebration was held at 12:00 p.m. at 819 North Rengstorff Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94043. Studio 819 offers 49 studio workforce housing apartments, including one manager’s unit, for residents with annual incomes at or below 45% of the Santa Clara County Area Median Income. This new community provides an environmentally-responsible and amenity-rich community for its residents with quality onsite management and supportive services provided by Eden Housing. Seventy new sustainable apartments break ground in Downtown Baldwin Park, CA BALDWIN PARK, CA – On Thursday, March 12, 2015, ROEM Development Corporation celebrated the groundbreaking of ”LINK”, 70 new family apartments located in the hub of downtown Baldwin Park. As the renovation work continues to progress at Jasmine Gardens Family Apartments, ROEM Corporation, Jasmine Gardens residents, and local community members came together to celebrate the opening of the community gardens on November 21st at this Compton, California affordable housing development. Excitement could be felt in the air as over 100 residents broke ground on their new shared-community gardens, one of the many new features that ROEM has built during the rehabilitation of the Jasmine Gardens. For many residents, this was the first time they had a place of their own to grow a variety of plants and vegetables. As one mother of four said, “I have never done this before and it is fun!” ROEM worked closely with residents and long-time community members, Benjamin and Emily Hart Holifeld and granddaughter Mika Black, to develop out the planned gardens.
