ROEM is looking for a motivated and experienced individual for construction of multi-family housing. Qualified candidates should have 10 or more years of relevant experience and knowledge of construction means, methods and materials. A thorough understanding of contracts, estimating, scheduling, cost control, purchasing, project engineering and safety are necessary. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to manage people as well as projects. Excellent interpersonal skills and sense of urgency are a must. Strong computer skills required. Full-time position with salary plus benefits and incentive program.
This position plans, directs, coordinates, and budgets tasks, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with construction. A Construction Project Manager will participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation. On a daily basis, this position will investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out, obtain all necessary permits and licenses, prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Conferring with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems is a daily task along with determining labor requirements and dispatching workers to construction sites. On a regular basis, this position will prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports, schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines, develop and implement quality control programs, and evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computers. A primary responsibility is to inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
Expected credentials include a college degree, industry certification, and 10-20 years of relevant experience depending on title.
